Set the stage….

Transfer your Young Living products to lovely glass bottles. 
Arrange things on a small riser, cake stand, lovely platter, or vintage plate.
Add a lovely diffuser with a candle flicker setting.  
Diffuse Lavender and Frankincense or Stress Away. 
Add soft, organic cotton or linen towels and cloths.

DIY HONEY + BENTONITE CLAY FACE MASK

Ingredients:


    1 tablespoon bentonite clay
    1 teaspoon raw honey (manuka honey is even better if you have it)
    1–2 drops of essential oil
    (lavender for soothing, tea tree for acne-prone skin, or frankincense for anti-aging benefits)
    1–2 teaspoons filtered water or rose water (adjust for desired consistency)
    Optional: 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar for extra detox power
     


Instructions:


    Add the bentonite clay to a non-metal bowl.
    Slowly mix in water or rose water. Stir until you get a smooth, spreadable paste. You can tweak the texture by adding more water or clay as needed.
    Add honey and mix thoroughly.  The honey will help bind the mask and bring its antibacterial + moisturizing powers.
    Add your essential oil and mix again. Just a few drops is enough!
     


How to Use:


    Apply the mask evenly to your clean face, avoiding the eye area.
    Let it sit for 10–15 minutes — don’t let it completely dry out if you have sensitive or dry skin.
    Rinse with warm water and pat your skin dry.
    Follow with a light moisturizer or facial oil.
    Use 1–2 times per week depending on your skin type.


 

Your daily glow routine doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be consistent. Pick one, start small, and let it evolve with you.

Citrus oils are some of our most used oils! These bright, uplifting scents are wonderful additions to diffuser blends, selfcare DIYs, roller blends, and home cleaning recipes, plus these oils have some wonderful health properties. These oils are sure to bring a smile to your face.

BACKGROUND & SOURCING
Citrus oils are mostly cold pressed from the rind of the fruit, though some are vacuum distilled. In a beautiful, natural symmetry, the rind of citrus fruits are alkaline while the juice is acidic, giving citrus oils some really wonderful health properties that we can utilize!

CITRUS OILS & EMOTIONS

Citrus oils contain Limonene, a potent free radical scavenger. When there is less physical oxidative stress in the body, then there are less negative emotions. Citrus oils also contain compounds that boost your mood by increasing calming neurotransmitters in the brain, making them wonderful tools for emotional support. 

DAILY HABITS WITH CITRUS OILS
Start your day with a burst of liquid sunshine by diffusing Orange, Lemon or Bergamot in the morning. These oils are delightful on their own, or you can combine them with complementary oils such as Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Neroli, and Peppermint.

Diffuse citrus oils alone or in one of these combinations:


  • Zen Vibes: 5 drops Bergamot, 3 drops Lavender, 4 drops Peace & Calming (or P&C II), 
  • Citrus Twist: 3 drops each Lemon, Jade Lemon, Grapefruit, Lime
  • Fresh Laundry: 4 drops each Purification, Tangerine, Lavender
  • Be Well: 5 drops Thieves, 4 drops Orange, 3 drops R.C.
  • Herb Garden: 4 drops Lemon Myrtle or Lemon Verbena, 4 drops Rosemary, 3 drops Bergamot 


Try this Rosemary Orange Hair Mask:


¼ cup avocado oil 
10 drops Rosemary
5 drops Orange
Optional: 5 drops Cedarwood (great for growth)
Mix well and apply on hair starting at the ends. Let sit for up to 10 minutes then shampoo and condition as normal. 


Refresh dried lips with this Grapefruit Sugar Scrub


2 Tbsp Organic Sugar 
1 Tbsp Organic Olive Oil 
2 Tbsp of Organic Honey 
1 tsp Lemon Juice 
3 drops Grapefruit 
2 drops Lemon or Tangerine 
Mix ingredients well then rub onto lips. Rinse well and follow with Lavender Lip Balm as desired.


Try this Unicorn Roller as a daily perfume with emotional support:

10mL roller bottle
15 drops each Tangerine, Joy, Stress Away, Grapefruit, Bergamot, White Angelica
Carrier of choice


Use Citrus Oils for Household DIYs


  • Use to remove stickers on glass (without the nasty chemicals!).
  • Add Lemongrass to wool dryer balls for a fresh scent (and ditch the dryer sheets!)
  • Add citrus oils to your homemade cleaning products for extra power (just don't apply directly to granite or marble). 
  • Add up to 40 drops of oil to diluted Thieves Household Cleaner for a daily spray.
  • Add 10 drops each Pine, Lemon, Jade Lemon to Thieves Household Cleaner and dilute for a mop solution.
  • Mix 10 drops Lemon oil + ¼ cup Baking Soda + 1 tsp Thieves Household Cleaner for a kitchen and bath scrub (add more baking soda to consistency as desired)
